 They WORKED! December 31, 2008
Like other reviews we have a really nice Kodak camera that takes great pictures BUT it would only stay charged for 10 to 15 pictures. Very frustrating! We couldn't even up load pictures to the computer with out the battery going dead. We tryed different rechargable battiers - none worked. We decided to try these on Amazon based on the reviews. We got them - and by golly they really do work.
We took 256 pictures, did a complete up load of 426 pictures and viewed and reviewed pictures on the camera multiple times all on one battery charge! I give five stars because the product works and has ended our frustration with our camera.
Kodak should take note that they have a lot of unhappy coustomers and supply these battiers with the purchase of a camera. I have cursed Kodak to many of my friends over this issue and told my brother what ever you do don't buy a Kodak. Their batteries are a marketing nightmare for them and they may not even know it. Now that I know "something" does work to keep the camera alive for more than 15 pictures I'll be a little nicer to them.

Preparing for a trip of lifetime to Central America in Nov. 2008, I made the following online purchase from Eforcity: battery charger, battery and car adapter for my Kodak Z812 camera. When the items arrived I was surprised that the battery was already charged. I put it in the charger and the lights glowed as I expected and all appeared to be well. In Honduras, I plugged in the adapter. and after 5 hours of charging, the battery was still dead. I plugged in the car charger and the metal end snapped off.
Returning home to the US, I was unable to charge the battery in my backup charger, and the only function the Eforcity charger performs is that of a weak nightlight. I emailed Eforcity on Dec 2, 2008. To date, i have received no response.
Bought for Christmas present! December 23, 2008
I bought the Kodak Z1085 IS for my wife for Christmas, and found this particular setup and decided to buy it, it was not to be shipped until after Christmas not only did we get it before but we already have 1st battery in camera second is in charger. Thanks for tip about lights. For price and use it is well worth it to me, I will use the Kodak battery that came with the camera for backup!
Very Happy with it December 7, 2008
The batteries fit well with my Z1012. The indicator light turns from red to green when battery is fully charged. Each charge can takes over 100 pictures - more than double using 2 rechargeable AA. For me, one fully charged battery is sufficient for one day of sight seeing. There is an extra bonus: you don't need voltage converter to charge the battery on 240V supply outside of US. Highly recommended for owners of Z1012.
I wasted my money December 6, 2008
This charger worked for only a couple months before it just stopped charging batteries. I tried to get support from INSTEN by sending an e-mail to their Tech support but never got a reply. They don't even stand by their own product. Avoid this one!
