Wow! March 18, 2010 Ralph E. Armitage (Loveland, CO United States) I have had prior Canon products and have always been impressed with their intrinsic value, whether copiers or cameras. This camera does not dissapoint. It's easy to use, has great picture quality and is priced right. This particular one was purchased for my sister-in-law who saw how happy we were with our previous purchase. She is very happy with this camera.
Canon makes a Nice Simple Camera March 17, 2010 Victor Ray Krebs Jr. I have had 4 Canon camera's... they have all been a good buy.
My wife had a Sony small camera... and didn't like it...

Review of the Canon A1100IS Digital Camera March 15, 2010 Clark (Allentown, PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After only three months the lens would no longer open. I followed instructions from others on the internet who experienced the same problem. I could not get it open. The camera was like new. I only used it a few times. Never dropped it. Yes, the pictures were good but...a "throw away camera" after only three months!! Too expensive for that! The cost of sending it back for repair exceeded the value of the camera. Check this problem out online BEFORE you spend your money. I will not buy another Canon camera. They're junk!
Awesome little camera March 14, 2010 Mary Ellen Robinson (Upstate NY, USA) I've owned a wonderful Canon camera for a while now(Power Shot SX10IS) but it is big and bulky and not convenient to carry around with me, just in case i need it. I cannot tell you how many times i have said I WISH i had my camera with me....Well, i bought this little beauty and keep it in my handbag and have used it countless times. I am thrilled with the ease of use and the quality of the pictures it takes. I would definitely recommend this camera to my family and friends.
